Rugby Rules, notifications and Code of Conduct for Parents
 

1. I agree that my child is playing rugby for his/her enjoyment, not just mine and I will encourage my child to play within the Laws of the Game through honest endeavour.  I will not force an unwilling child to participate in the playing of rugby.
2. I agree to help my child to work towards skill improvement and good sportsmanship, and also to understand the value of team sport.
3. I agree not to humiliate or shout at my child for making mistakes or losing matches and will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from rugby.
4. I agree not to use profane language or harass referees, coaches or players.  I will not publicly question the referee's judgement or honesty and I will recognise the value and importance of volunteer referees and coaches.
5. I agree to supervise (or appoint a responsible adult to supervise) my child at rugby, and to stay with him as my presence may be needed.  I agree to ensure that my child will be suitably attired and will wear a gum shield at all times during training and matches.
6. I will ensure that my child understands the player's code of conduct.
7. I will notify the Club of any medical condition which could affect the safety of my child or others, or that could impact on the ability of my child or others to participate. In event of an accident Lansdowne officials or their medical representatives may act in loco parentis.
8. I agree that from time to time Lansdowne may use photographs within which my child may appear of Youth Rugby on its website and limited promotional material.
9. Youth players (U16-U18) are allowed to use the Lansdowne FC gym only at times specified and supervised by the club. Players are requested not to use the gym at any time when not supervised or outside specified times. Lansdowne FC does not accept any responsibility for players using the gym outside of specified times.
