||MFC Round Robin: Clonmore v Fenagh
This evening at 7pm in Woodside.
Support appreciated for this dedicated and talented squad of players who have already qualified for the County final in NCP on 7 October.
||IFC Relegation Playoff: Clonmore 1-7 Ballon 0-7
A performance full of passion and guts saw us deservedly win this tense encounter and retain our Intermediate status for another year.
In a game where all 17 players played their hearts out, Gavin Byrne proved to be the match winner with 1-3 . Well done lads.
||JFC semi-final: MLR 5-14 Clonmore 1-5
Great effort by all 18 players tonight but MLR were the better team.
As their season ends, the club thanks the Junior players & mentors for fulfilling all fixtures, entertaining us through the long hot summer & making the League & Championship semi-finals.
||U15 Championship Q/Final: Clonmore 5-7(22) Burren Rangers 1-11 (14)
Well done to the U15s who played some excellent football in Kilbride tonight to emulate the Minors and U13s and make it three wins out of three for our Juvenile teams this week.
||MFC Round Robin Rd 2: Clonmore 1-15 Eire Og 2-10
In a close fought game between two good teams tonight in Woodside, a super 2nd half performance puts Clonmore into the club’s first county Minor ‘A’ final in 24 years. Congrats to all involved.
Other MFC ‘A’ result: Fenagh 2-12 Rathvilly 2-9
Next game: Mon 24th Sept, 7pm v Fenagh (Home).
FINAL: Sunday, 7 October, NCP..
||Minor A C'ship Round Robin First Rd: Rathvilly 2-9 Clonmore 4-10
The Minors produced an assured performance to win away in Rathvilly tonight, which is never easy.
In a topsy turvy game, we needed two late goals to get us over the line after looking comfortable at 2-10 to 0-7 on 50 minutes. Rathvilly pulled it back to 2-10 to 2-8 before goals from Billy Lawlor and Dylan Doyle (pen) sealed a deserved victory.
Next game: V Eire Og on Monday next, 3 September, in Woodside.
(Eire Og and Fenagh drew tonight).
||Death of Pat Bowes RIP
The club is sad to report the death of former player, Pat Bowes, aged 73.
Pat played Minor & U-21 for the county and was on the Clonmore teams that reached SFC finals in 1963 & 65. In recognition of his contribution to the club in the 1960s/70s, Pat was inducted into the Clonmore Hall of Fame in 2013.
Pat was married to Laura Dalton, daughter of Din Dalton who trained Clonmore''s 1955/56 SFC winning teams.
Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
||IFC: Kildavin/Clonegal 3-9 Clonmore 1-7.
The lads played well at times and there was no shortage of effort but goals immediately before and after half-time killed us.
Next up: IFC Relegation Play-off V Ballon, probably on weekend of 15 September.

🏐Rd 2: v Éire Óg (Home): Monday 3 Sept, 7pm.

||IFC Rd 2: Fighting Cocks 2-10 Clonmore 2-9.
This was a hard defeat to take after the lads played so well to come back from five points down after 10 minutes to go five points up with five minutes to play. We’ll just have to learn from it and move on.
All is not lost and a win over Kildavin/Clonegal on the weekend of 25 August would put us into the quarter finals.
