Clonmore GFC Membership

Welcome to the official Lotto website of Clonmore GFC in Co. Carlow.  The Clonmore GFC Fundraising Lotto draws which run on a weekly basis play a huge part in the fund raising efforts of our GAA Club.

We encourage all of our ex members and community to play the Clonmore GFC fundraising lotto.  We also hope that we can all work together to promote this lotto and help get back in touch with people from Hacketstown & Clonmore, Carlow who may now be living all over the world.

To play, any four numbers are selected from 1 to 30. If anybody matches the four numbers selected on the night he/she wins or shares the Jackpot. Tickets cost €2 each.

PHOTO: The club is in mourning following the death of one of our finest young players, Eoin Byrne, last weekend. Eoin was centre-forward on our Minor Championship winning team last year, scoring 1-1 in the final V MLR, and only the previous week had played and scored for our U-19s in the Championship V Palatine. Eoin was also a talented soccer player with Parkville, a Leinster boxing champion and represented Ireland in boxing. Not only was he an outstanding sportsman but Eoin was an exemplary young man and a Meitheal leader in Colaiste Eoin, Hacketstown. The club extends deepest sympathies to the Byrne and McCarney families at this sad time.

Your continued support is much appreciated and we wish you good luck in future draws.

The club's grounds are located at Woodside, about a mile outside Hacketstown on the Clonmore road. Visitors coming from the Carlow / Tullow /Rathvilly direction should follow the main road to Hacketstown and turn right as they enter Hacketstown opposite "The Hill" pub.

U19 A Championship: Palatine 2-13 Clonmore 0-9
Having won the Minor B last year, Clonmore opted to play in the U19 A Cship this year.
Our lads tried their best, played very well at times but Pal were able to get their scores that bit easier, being a more mature team with a number of senior players in their team, while Clonmore's panel included four under 16s.

Mick Furlong Memorial Tournament: Clonmore 3-9 Coolkenno 1-14
Clonmore won the inaugural Mick Furlong Trophy in an exciting game played in beautiful conditions at Aghowle on Saturday.

The Trophy was presented to captain Enda McGrath by Mick Furlongs daughters Jackie Doran and Noeleen Lacey.

Well done to our neighbours, Coolkenno, for organizing a very enjoyable event and for raising 1,000 for the Clonmore Cancer Trust. A great day and a fitting tribute to a true Gael who played for both clubs and sadly passed away in January this year.
