Monkstown FC Rugby | Sandymount

We are delighted to announce that Monkstown FC raised over €3,000 for Irish Cancer Society through the Monkstown “Blue Day” initiative.


The initiative, run by Monkstown players across all levels, was organized to raise funds and awareness for the Action Prostrate Cancer program. Through a combination of bag-packing in the local Tesco supermarket, player sponsorship, fundraising and donations on “Blue Day”, the players raised over €3,000 for a very worthy cause.
The day itself was widely publicized, being mentioned on national radio and trending on twitter thanks to re-tweets by a variety of international rugby stars.
To cap it all off, both Monkstown first and second XV recorded thumping wins over Enniscorthy RFC.
