All roads lead to Bunbrosna G.A.A Club on Saturday morning last where our U7, U9 and U11 squads played against Bunbrosna, Mullingar Shamrocks and Ballynacarrigy. A great morning’s football was had by all and as per usual the hospitality was second to none. Well done to players, coaches and parents alike for making it another memorable outing. We would like to wish a speedy recovery to one of our U9 stars Luke Kenna who unfortunately picked up an arm injury on the day. Get well soon Luke!

The Downs Ladies LGFA Underage Round Up

The Downs Girls U14s had a very busy week this week. Their first outing was against Killucan in the League on Tuesday evening at home with Killucan just proving too strong for our girls on the night. On Saturday the same group, along with their U15 colleagues travelled to Rosemount to compete in the Westmeath Féile competition. The girls competed in Division 3 against Cill Óige and Moate and were unlucky not to claim one of the coveted semi-final spots. Although Cill Óige proved too strong for the girls, we put up a great fight against Moate but with a second defeat, it meant that Na Dúnta Ladies involvement in this year’s Féile had come to an end. The girls can hold their heads high, fighting to the bitter end in miserable conditions. Well done to players and coaches and many thanks to Rosemount for hosting so professionally.
