The men’s team bowed out of the FAI cup at rd4 today in Mount Falcon in a game they must feel they were unlucky to loose , they more than matched their premier division opponents Conn Rangers and could have been well ahead by the time the home side went 1-0 in the first half . We equalized just after the break but just couldn’t get in front despite having good spells and the bulk of clear chances . Just as it seemed the game would drift into extra time Rangers scored a late late goal from a poorly cleared corner , even after that we had chances but it wasn’t our day . A great opportunity missed to advance , good luck to Conn Rangers in the open draw . On a positive note for the club it is great to see all the young players making their mark , Connaught Shield is all that is left now for the remainder of the season .
