Lorrha - North Junior 'B' League winners

Senior: Lorrha's final round game of the County Championship against Knockavilla Kickhams has been fixed for Sunday 13th August in Nenagh at 1.30pm



Junior: The North Tipp Junior 'B' Hurling League Final Replay against Roscrea was played on Tuesday evening week last with Lorrha winning 1-13 to 1-7. Well done to the players and mentors. See match report.



Last Sunday, Lorrha's championship campaign began when Silvermines travelled to Moatfield with Lorrha winning 1-20 to 2-16. Lorrha face Ballinahinch in round 2 this Friday 28th July in Shallee at 7.00pm.



Minor: Lorrha Rovers are away to Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan this evening (Wednesday) at 7pm, needing a win to stay in the hunt for the semi-finals.



Under 16: Lorrha Rovers played Toomevara, away, in the second round of the championship last Monday and were defeated 3-17 to 2-8. Next Monday, they play Roscrea in Moatfield at 7.15pm



Under 14: Lorrha Rovers Gaels defeated Newport 5-15 to 0-2 in Moatfield last Wednesday and are are now preparing for a quarter final next Wednesday evening, 2 August, opponent tp be confirmed



Under 12: Lorrha played Kilruane MacDonaghs in Moatfield in the North 'B' Hurling semi-final last Monday and won 1-11 to 2-3. Lorrha will play Borrisokane in the final on Saturday 5th August, venue and time to be confirmed.



Tipperary: Well done to Patrick Maher, Brian Hogan, John Madden and the Tipperary Senior hurlers in the All Ireland quarter final against Clare last Saturday.



Tipperary v Galway Tickets: All orders for stand, terrace and family tickets for the All Ireland semi-final against Galway on Sunday 6th August must be with Michael Kennedy 0871854602 by this Friday night, 28th July.



Tipperary Clubs Draw: Well done to Thomas Ward who won third prize of flights to Australia or €3000 in the July Tipperary Clubs Draw last Friday night. Tony Coen also won the promoters prize of €200.



Fundraiser: The club has launched a 2500-to-1 fundraising draw with a prize fund of €10,000. We have 2,500 tickets valued from 1 cent to 2500 cents (€25) and when you accept to take a ticket, you scratch off a hidden section and the value in this section is what you pay for the ticket, it could be 1 cent, €25, or any value in between. All tickets bought will be entered into a draw in late September for a top prize of €5,000 with eleven ther prizes ranging from €2,000 to €200. Your support would be appreciated.



Cul Camp: Lorrha Kellogg's Cul Camp got underway last Monday with 92 children taking part, one of our largest camps in recent years. We hope all our young players and coaches have an enjoyable week.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday with music of Dermot Lyons, from 9.30pm til late.



Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the O'Meara family on the passing of Mary O'Meara, Carrigahorig, who died last week. May she rest in peace.
