Lorrha GAA News for 19 April

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €3,300. Thank you for your continued support. You can also play our lotto online at www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.



Senior: Well done to the senior hurlers who recorded a 2-17 to 1-8 victory over Carrick Davins in the first round of the County Championship in Golden on Saturday evening. Our next championship match is against Knockavilla Kickhams and is provisionally scheduled for weekend 26-27 April.



Junior: The Junior 'B' hurlers will play their first league game against Newport in Moatfield this Friday in Moatfield at 6.30pm



Under 21 Football: Best of luck to the U21's who face West champions Rockwell/Rosegreen in the County 'B' semi-final Easter Monday in The Ragg at 3pm



Minor Football: Lorrha take on Portroe in Portroe on Thursday, 17th April at 6.30pm in their second game of the championship.



Under 14: The U14's suffered a 2-13 to 1-4 defeat to Silvermines in Dolla in their second game last week. This evening (Wednesday), they play Borrisokane in Borrisokane at 6.30pm



Under 12: Lorrha received a walkover from Shannon Rovers Gaels last Friday. Their next game is away to Moneygall this Friday, 25th April at 6.30pm



Tipperary: Hard luck to Brian Hogan who captained the Tipperary Minor hurlers in their Munster Championship defeat to Limerick last Thursday. Hard luck also to the Tipperary U21 Footballers in the Munster final against Cork.



Best of luck to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior hurlers in their National League semi-final against Clare this Sunday in Limerick.



Divisional: Well done to Michael Dolan who was on the North Tipperary Under 12 Hurling team who took part in the Garda Cup in Thurles last weekend and won the Shield final.



Easter Camp: Lorrha GAA Club will be hosting an Easter Camp in Moatfield between Wednesday 23rd and Friday 25th April from 10am to 1pm each day. Cost is €20 per child.



Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: We ask all promoters to keep their subscribers up to date as we come towards the end of the current draw.

Social Dancing: There is no Social Dancing this Good Friday night but it resumes on Friday, 25th April to the music of Sam O'Doherty. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.



Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Rigney family, Rathcabbin, on the death of Doreen Rigney, Birr, who died last week. May she rest in peace.
